Meet the Staff
Director, Lead Instructor
Ryan grew up in Dix Hills, NY, and had a dream of flying the F/A-18 Hornet for the Navy. After throwing up three times on his first flight in an airplane and falling in love with the concept of hovering, he found his home in the Navy helicopter community. He served in Hawaii for three years, deploying to SE Asia twice, and was a flight instructor in both Pensacola and Jacksonville, FL. At the peak of his career, he earned the Instructor of the Year award in 2016 from the Chief of Naval Air Training.
Ryan earned his Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from SUNY Maritime College and earned a Master's of Arts in Defense and Strategic Studies from the Naval War College. He also holds his General Securities (Series-7), Fiduciary (Series-66), and Health and Life Insurance (FL 2-15) licenses in the financial services industry.
Educational Assistant, Den Mother
Erica grew up in Folsom, CA, but claims to be a proud Texan after joining the Aggie family. She served in the Air Force for three years and 23 days, but who's counting. Desiring more time at home with her son, she used her GI bill to study at Texas A&M where she earned a Bachelor's of Science in Sociology, and also earned a Master of Arts in Public Administration from the prestigious Bush School.
Recipient of the undocumented 2019 "Mom of the Year" award in her household for coaching her son's flag football team 45 minutes away from her house. They didn't place, but the children had a blast. Erica served as an elementary school tutor while she studied at A&M and has a passion for early education. She recently accepted a position at the Department of Labor, but her main labor is keeping Snacks from setting the house and/or kids on fire.
